Floor Programs/Traditions
- Outdoor Leadership Floor Bar-B-Q: This kickoff event is held within the first two weeks of the semester. The Bar-B-Q is hosted at the Outdoor Recreation Program and offers residents the opportunity to eat to their hearts content, play basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, or simply relax and meet new friends. This is an extremely exciting event that no resident should miss!
- “Get-to-Know-U” Camping Trip: This is a new tradition that started in the fall semester of 2007. Residents plan and lead a camping trip the first weekend following their return to campus. The trip is a great way to spend time in nature, get to know fellow residents, and have a blast camping before classes begin.
- Service Projects: The Outdoor Leadership Floor frequently joins forces with the Bennion Center and the Outdoor Recreation Program in order to serve our community and improve the great outdoors that we all love so much!
- Warren Miller Film Premier: Residents attend the annual film premiere of incredible skiers and boarders while snagging tons of free swag!
- Banff Film Festival: Each year the Outdoor Leadership Floor attends the Banff Film festival to see the amazing films that creatively explore nature.
- Hang out in the Hall: Residents engage in activities that include socializing, playing music, shampoo bottle bowling and human-on-longboard bowling. Residents also find this to be a great opportunity to tell their RA what activities they would like to plan and participate in during the year.
