From general survey data we know that students who live on campus:

Are more likely to persist and graduate from college than those who don't live on campus.
Interact more frequently with faculty and peers in informal settings than students who don't live on campus. One of the ways this happens for University of Utah first year students at the U is through the LEAP Program.
Are significantly more satisfied with college and are more positive about the social and interpersonal environment of the campus than students who don't live on campus.
