Description
Lassonde Studios opened in 2016 and is home to student entrepreneurs, innovators, and creators at The University of Utah. It's the place where students from any background or major can live, create, and launch. This building features unique living options for residents, including single and double rooms, loft-style apartments, and pods. Lassonde Studios also features a 20,000-square-foot innovation space where all students can connect, test ideas, build prototypes, launch companies, and learn by doing. When students take a break from creating, they can take advantage of on-site dining at the Miller Cafe or playing pool.
The engagement opportunities within this building are facilitated by the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute, an interdisciplinary division of the David Eccles School of Business.
Lassonde Studios offers Information Sessions on most Fridays from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. (in-person) and 2 - 3 p.m. (virtual).

If you’re interested in innovation, entrepreneurship, and developing your creativity while living alongside other driven and ambitious students, Lassonde Studios is an exceptional option. Located in the heart of campus, Lassonde Studios is home to the Lassonde Entrepreneur Institute - the University of Utah’s flagship center for student innovation, startups, and business development.
Residents live on one of four residential floors above the 20,000-square-foot Neeleman Hangar, a state-of-the-art makerspace that supports everything from rapid prototyping and product design to collaboration and venture development. Students benefit from access to mentorship, workshops, funding opportunities, and industry connections that support turning ideas into viable ventures. Lassonde Studios fosters a dynamic, hands-on environment where students from all majors can build practical skills, collaborate across disciplines, and engage with the broader entrepreneurial ecosystem at the University of Utah.
