HOW TO APPLY

  1. Log into CIS and select "Student Homepage"
  2. Click on the "Student Housing" tile
  3. Select Housing & Residential Education" from the menu, then click "Housing U"
  4. Click on the "Apply for Housing" tab and follow the instructions to begin a 2022-23 application
  5. Submit your application by the priority deadline to receive a reservation time
  6. Reserve a room at your assigned reservation time

HRE UPPER-DIVISION COMMUNITIES

Upper-division undergraduate students can live in a variety of apartment-style housing options through HRE. We even have apartment options in downtown SLC! Upper-division students are also eligible to live in Lassonde Studios lofts & pods!

Shoreline Ridge

Shoreline Ridge is located within Heritage Commons. Shoreline Ridge features two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments for upper-division students and offers full-size kitchens, private bedrooms, and spacious common areas. Kitchens in Shoreline apartments include a full-size refrigerator, expandable table with chairs, microwave, oven/stove combo, sink with a garbage disposal, assorted cabinet space, and drawers.

Marriott Honors Community*

The Marriott Honors Community is located on the East Side of Campus along Mario Cappecchi Drive, near the Legacy Bridge, Kahlert Village, and the Student Life Center. The MHC is available to upper-division Honors students. These apartments offer full-size kitchens, spacious common areas, and great views of campus and the Wasatch Mountains. The MHC is unique because it also includes classroom spaces, and Honors Market/Convenience Store.

Downtown Commons 1

The Downtown Commons 1 apartments include two- and three-bedroom private singles, meaning each resident will have their own bedroom. Each space also includes a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living room. Kitchens include a full-size refrigerator, microwave, sink, oven, stove, and dishwasher. Please note, these apartment communities are located in downtown Salt Lake City and not on the University of Utah campus.

Officers Circle*

Officers Circle is located within Heritage Commons near the Peterson Heritage Center, Stilwell Field, and the Legacy Bridge, which makes access to campus easy and convenient. Comprised of 10 individual historic houses, Officers Circle is unique in that most of the houses are centered around a different academic or themed focus. All houses are mixed gender and feature large lounge spaces, front porches, and kitchens.

Lassonde Studios Lofts & Pods*

Lassonde Studios is located on Central Lower Campus near the Student Life Center, Gardner Commons, and the Student Union. Upper-division students will be able to live in lofts or pod-style living options. Pod bedrooms are private-single bedrooms in communities with 20 students, and lofts house three or four students. Lassonde Studios also features a 20,000 square foot innovation space where students can test ideas and build prototypes.

Downtown Commons 2

The Downtown Commons 2 apartments feature two bedrooms that are private singles, meaning each resident will have their own bedroom. Each space also includes a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living room. Kitchens include a full-size refrigerator, microwave, sink, oven, stove, and dishwasher. Please note, these apartment communities are located in downtown Salt Lake City and not on the University of Utah campus.

HRE GRADUATE COMMUNITIES

Make the most of your graduate experience at the University of Utah with Housing & Residential Education! Graduate students can live in apartment-style housing off campus and Lassonde Studios lofts & pods on campus.

Downtown Commons 2

The Downtown Commons 2 apartments feature two-bedrooms that are private singles, meaning each resident will have their own bedroom. Each space also includes a shared kitchen, bathroom and living room. Kitchens include a full-size refrigerator, microwave, sink, oven, stove, and dishwasher. Please note, this apartment community is located in downtown Salt Lake City and not on the University of Utah campus.

Lassonde Studios Lofts*

Lassonde Studios is located on Lower Campus, near the Student Life Center, Gardner Commons and Student Union. Graduate students will be able to live in lofts or pod-style living options. Lofts are open floor plan-style apartments with three or four students who share a large bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. Lassonde Studios also features a 20,000 square-foot innovation space, where students can connect, test ideas and build prototypes.

Lassonde Studios Pods*

Lassonde Studios is located on Central Lower Campus, near the Student Life Center, Gardner Commons, and the Student Union. Graduate students will be able to live in pod-style communities. Pods feature private bedrooms with a full-size bed, closet, and built-in TV. Communities have shared living, kitchen, and bathroom spaces. Lassonde Studios also features a 20,000 square-foot innovation space, where students can connect, test ideas, and build prototypes.

MEAL PLANS

Housing & Residential Education and Dining Services offer a variety of meal plans for students who live in apartment-style housing or lofts and pods in Lassonde Studios. Meal plans are an optional service but an added convenience that a majority of students take advantage of. Meal plans can be used at a variety of locations on campus, including buffet-style dining rooms in the Peterson Heritage Center and our new residence hall on lower campus next to the Student Life Center, Kahlert Village!

OFF-CAMPUS COMMUNITIES
