The 2025-2026 First Year Housing Application is Open!

First-Year students can apply to live on campus in Housing U in CIS. Complete the application by filling out personal information, indicating Living Learning interest, and paying the $130 application fee. Reservation times and guaranteed housing offers will be determined based on when you complete your application, so apply early! Check our FAQs!

All matriculated University of Utah students with an active student ID number now have access to purchase meal plans in the Housing U Portal through CIS, whether they live on campus or not. Log into your account and select the term and meal plan you want to purchase!

Our facilities team works hard to maintain properties on and off campus. If you require a repair in your room or community, please submit a maintenance request using the button below. This form is for non-emergent maintenance requests only. If this is an emergency, please call or visit your front desk. ---Note that the facilities request form at CIS is NOT for housing properties and our tea does not receive those requests.

P3 Annex Project

In September 2024, the U’s Board of Trustees approved the first $155 million project in a long-term student housing initiative. Phase 1, the first building under construction just south of Kahlert Village, will add 1,446 beds to campus in a 6-story residence hall with approximately 349,342 square feet designed for first year and upper-division students.
