Home Living @ the U Get Involved

Getting involved in the activities and events within Housing & Residential Education is the best way to experience our Culture of Belonging, College Success, Personal Development, and Civic Engagement.  Additionally, students who are involved tend to do better in school, complete their degrees, and develop skills for life beyond college.  Also, it’s really fun, and it’s where life happens.

Social justice advocates

The Social Justice Advocates in Housing & Residential Education seek to help students from underrepresented populations at the U find and build community and visibility. They do this through holding Equity Lounge hours, hosting educational and community-building events, and reaching out to students. Underrepresented populations can include students from a variety of different racial, ethnic, and national backgrounds, LGBTQIA people, first-generation college students, etc.
