BREAK HOUSING
Break Housing information is provided below. If you sign up for a Break Housing period, please be sure to check your UMail for instructions regarding your move.

December 19, 2026 – January 10, 2027
All buildings remain open between the Fall and Spring semesters. All students who are living on campus for the Academic Year will be eligible to remain on campus for the Winter Break period.
There is no additional cost for Winter Break Housing, as the cost is calculated into the Academic Year housing rates.

Spring 2027 begins January 11, 2027
If you are moving into a new room for the Spring semester, you will either start moving on January 8 or will move after break.
Hospitality Desk Hours during Winter Break
All hospitality desks will be open 24/7.

May 8, 2027 – May 14, 2027
Lassonde Studios, Shoreline Ridge, and the Impact and Prosperity Epicenter will be open between the Spring semester and Summer session. Students will be eligible for May Break Housing if they are living on campus for Spring, have a reserved room for Summer, and have opted into May Break Housing in their Housing U portal.
May Break Housing has a one-time flat fee of $240.
Students must apply no later than April 13, 2027.

Students are expected to move out May 8 by 2:00pm if not partaking in Break Housing.
Summer 2027 begins May 14, 2027
If you are moving into a new room for Summer, you will either move in starting on May 14 or will be assigned a move-in date during May Break between May 10-12.

All hospitality desks will be open 24/7.

August 6, 2027 – August 17, 2027
Lassonde Studios, Shoreline Ridge, and the Impact and Prosperity Epicenter will be open between Summer session 2 and the Fall 2026 semester. Students will be eligible for August Break Housing if they are living on campus for Summer 2, have a reserved room for Fall, and have opted into August Break in their Housing U portal.
August Break Housing has a one-time flat fee of $640.
Students must apply no later than July 16, 2027.

Fall 2027 begins August 17, 2027
If you are moving into a new room for Fall, you will either move in starting on August 17 or will be assigned a move-in date during August Break between August 9-11.
Hospitality Desk Hours during August Break
All hospitality desks will be open 24/7.

August 13, 2027 – August 16, 2027
All buildings will be open to students who are completing an Early Arrival with an approved university-affiliated group or activity. Early Arrival students will be provided with a designated move-in date.
Early Arrival has a one-time flat fee of $250.
Sorority Early Arrival has a one-time flat fee of $150.
Students must apply no later than July 23, 2027.

Fall 2027 begins August 17, 2027
If you are moving into a new room for Fall, you will either move in starting on August 17 or will participate in Early Arrival.
