Description
If you are a first-year student looking to create a community with fellow peers of all backgrounds, Community Empowerment Scholars Living Learning Community is for you. Residents will enroll in ETHNC 2510 (Fall) and ETHNIC 2520 (Spring) while receiving academic and social support. You will receive exposure to Advisors, Faculty as well as Peer Mentors who will help you on your journey. Come spend your first year with like-minded students exploring identity, engaging in social justice discussions, and serving the community. All these elements come together to holistically develop students and help them find their sense of belonging here at the University of Utah.
Eligibility
Who's Eligible: First Year Students who have Applied to Community Empowerment Scholars and indicated an interest in joining the Living Learning Community component.Who Selects Residents? The Center For Student Access and Resources will create a committee to select residents based on response in Community Empowerment Scholars application.
