The Hidden Gems Across Campus


On a campus as large as the University of Utah, there is so much to discover. Here are just a few of the amazing resources we have on campus a the U that can help you as you work through your Utah career.

 

University Writing Center

The writing center is here to help students at every stage of their degree become more comfortable and confident writers. You are able to get help on papers for any topic or area of study from a peer tutor trained to help you succeed. This service if FREE to all students and a great way to aid you in enhancing your writing. The Writing Center is located in room 2701 in the Marriott Library. Center for Ethnic Student Affairs (CESA)

CESA is a student center that works to support students academically, socially, personally and culturally. The center provides programming to help students navigate cultural, economic, social and institutional barriers, helping students achieve academic excellence and develop socially responsible individuals who advocate for equity and social justice. The LBGT Resource Center

The goal of the center is to provide a safe environment for student interaction and outreach programs that will educate the university community in regards to sexual orientation and gender identity. The center has spaces to hangout, study, use a computer and explore the media library.  The resource center also has a number of relationships across campus and the greater Salt Lake valley to connect you with any resource you might need. The Women’s Resource Center (WRC)

The WRC serves as the central resource for educational and support services for women. Honoring the complexities of women’s identities, the WRC facilitates choices and changes through programs, counseling and training grounded in a commitment to advance social justice and equity. The WRC can also provide access to counseling and scholarships. The Women’s Resource center is located on the fourth floor of the Student Union. Student Success Advocates

Student Success Advocates (SSAs) are here to support students in making the most of their Utah experience. SSAs engage and empower undergraduate students in exploring and clarifying their interests and goals, overcoming personal and academic challenges and connecting to campus resource and opportunities. Student Success Advocates operate all over campus, and you can make a mobile appointment and connect with them wherever you might need. For more info, visit https://ssa.utah.edu

 

Feed-U Pantry

The Feed-U Pantry aims to minimize hunger and food insecurity among students, their families, faculty and staff by providing free, accessible and nutritious food. The pantry strives to provide resource to better help community members focus on being happy, healthy and successful at the University of Utah without the barrier of fighting hunger. You can visit to pick up a bag of food, donate goods to the pantry or volunteer to help support the efforts. The Feed-U pantry is located on the basement level of the Student Union.
